Free Test Mastering

Unfortunately, mixing and mastering are often combined and handled by one person. The better approach is to outsource mastering to fresh ears and a specialized engineer who has never heard the project before. This is the only way to catch and correct issues, and introduce appropriate enhancements that will make your music sound the best it can be.

I think everyone should hear and experience what professional mastering can do for their music. For that very reason I offer free test mastering so you can hear the differences for yourself!

Test Master Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, test masters will be the full song delivered on a high resolution "Stream Only" link available on any device.

  • If you are happy with the test master I will enable downloads and add a project balance for the price of a single master to the link. Once the project balance on the link is paid you will get the option to download the master file on any device.

  • My turnaround times for most projects is 1-2 days. I will respond to your test master submission within 24hrs and let you know an estimated delivery date/time.

  • I'm happy to adjust the test master but this would mean we are transitioning to a paid project, so the balance would need to be paid before I begin revisions. Once paid all I ask is that you have all possible notes in order before I begin revisions. If you are in a band or working with several producers, make sure everyone involved has had a chance to listen and provide notes before we move on to the V2 version.

  • If you don't like something about the test master I am happy to make revisions until you are satisfied with the results. If you don't want to request revisions and want to move on, I completely understand.
